Beijing Qian Dai Fu Information & Technology Company Ltd. (Qian Dai Fu) is a registered legal corporate entity in Mainland China established in February 2009. It provides end-to-end solutions including technical support, information enquiry, training and development, and managed services for Chinese Visa agency businesses around the world.

Challenges

In line with the implementation of the open-door policy in China, the foreign visa applicants have ushered in a new climax. In order to address the rapid increase in global demand for Chinese Visas, Qian Dai Fu needed to build an integrated, secure, and stable global visa application platform to cater to applicants from all over the world. As of August 2023, the platform has already enabled 100 Chinese Visa Application Service Centers to provide 24/7, uninterrupted and real-time data processing services on a global scale, allowing applicants in 51 countries across five major continents to register and acquire a Chinese Visa.

Solutions

Lenovo PCCW Solutions was commissioned with the development of Qian Dai Fu's third-generation biometric visa identification system, thanks to the rich experience in system development and high-quality service that is well recognized by clients. After the successful delivery of our solution, we continue to provide Qian Dai Fu with operation and managed services to ensure high availability and security. The system has successfully reached a processing capacity of 10 million visas per year, far exceeding total applications received annually. Following extensive demand analysis and research, Qian Dai Fu has expanded their partnership with Lenovo PCCW Solutions to cover the digitalization of application forms and appointment booking running on Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun).

Lenovo PCCW Solutions is committed to promoting the cloud transformation of Qian Dai Fu’s biometric visa identification system on its international portal. Building the solution on Alibaba Cloud, we have fundamentally improved the compatibility and adaptability of the existing cloud architecture and adopted industry best practice. Thorough evaluation and analysis of the portability, scalability, security, performance and other aspects of the existing system, we were able to improve operational functionality across the board, enabling the client to achieve their goal of "faster and secure access to the cloud", maximizing the quality of the user experience, system security and overall scalability of the client’s system infrastructure.

Comprehensive System Functions
The integrated platform supports the operation of Chinese Visa Application Service Center’s portal, enabling global visa application services. It also provides dynamic interactive communication functions, including: online appointment booking, online form filling, application status queries, FAQs and application process guides, etc.

Universal Support for Multi-Center, Multilingual, and Multi-Time-Zone
The system currently supports Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Arabic and various languages, providing accessibility to applicants from many different countries and time-zones.

Accessible Multi-device Smart Applications
Applicants are able to fill in their application forms, book an appointment, and check the progress of their application online from home. Furthermore, these services and functions can be accessed via tablet or mobile phone at anytime, anywhere, enabling quick and convenient visa application service.
