The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) is the first not-for-profit institution that provides training and certification services to the banking community in Hong Kong. HKIB plays a pivotal role in enhancing the professional standards of the banking industry through its comprehensive training programs and certifications. The institute serves the financial services industry and operates primarily within Hong Kong.
HKIB faced significant hurdles in managing and analyzing membership data due to fragmented data sources and silos. This disjointed data environment made it challenging to perform comprehensive reporting and analytics, hindering the ability to derive meaningful insights. Additionally, the lack of a unified data platform complicated data science initiatives, resulting in inefficiencies and inconsistencies that impacted strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness.
To overcome these challenges, LPS implemented an advanced data solution leveraging Microsoft Fabric. This solution has unified siloed data sources into a single point of truth within the Fabric framework and incorporated low-code workflow automation through the Power Platform. This modernized approach eliminated existing silos and provided a holistic view of HKIB's data assets. The new platform introduced advanced data models, enabling more accurate and comprehensive analytics. This integration facilitated seamless data management, improved reporting capabilities, and supported data science initiatives by establishing a reliable single point of truth.
