One of the first workflows we chose to modernize internally was NDA evaluation: a process where speed and precision both matter, and where even small improvements can unlock meaningful business value.

Challenges

As LPS continues to grow in AI leadership, we recognized an opportunity hiding in plain sight. NDA reviews are essential to how deals move forward, yet they often depend on manual effort, repeated back-and-forth, and institutional knowledge that can be hard to scale. Each agreement requires more than a simple read-through—it demands context, attention to risk, and alignment with internal standards before Sales and GTM teams can confidently proceed.


At the same time, NDAs arrive frequently and under time pressure. When the review process relies too heavily on individual judgment and ad hoc clarification, turnaround  slows, recommendations vary, and business teams may lack clarify on which changes are required to move forward. We saw a chance to bring structure and intelligence to the process—making it easier for Legal to focus on the exceptions that truly need expert attention.

Solutions

To address this, LPS developed and deployed LPS Legal AI, an AI-powered assistant purpose-built for NDA evaluation. The workflow begins when Sales or GTM submits an NDA along with a declaration form and relevant case background. From there, the AI steps in to interpret the agreement in context and guide the review toward the issues that matter most.


The assistant examines the declaration form, compares the customer's NDA against LPS standard or template language, and surfaces key differences, irrelevant clauses, and potential risk areas. It then generates structured comments and recommended modifications, all aligned with LPS's established risk mitigation guidance—covering areas like anti-bribery obligations, personal data considerations, and liquidated damages exposure. Legal retains full decision-making authority, using the AI's output to accelerate review, strengthen consistency, and deliver clearer recommendations back to the business.

Sales and GTM teams benefit from faster feedback and fewer clarification cycles, helping them respond to customers more quickly and keep deals moving.
