Background

Lenovo PCCW Solutions (LPS), a leading IT solutions provider in Asia Pacific and a member of Lenovo Group, empowers governments and enterprises to achieve digital transformation for over two decades. Leveraging Lenovo’s global innovation in AI, data, cloud, and cybersecurity, alongside a team of 4,000+ experts, LPS delivers AI-powered solutions and data-driven practices to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Challenges

Following the acquisition by Lenovo Group in 2022, LPS prioritized achieving operational synergy with its parent organization while preparing for a seamless system transition within 13 months. LPS needed to integrate 35 fragmented legacy systems, unify operations across six regions and ten business functions, and coordinate over 4,000 employees. These legacy systems lacked a single source of truth, which slowed decision-making and reduced efficiency. The complexity of merging diverse operations while maintaining business continuity demanded precise planning and flawless execution.

Solutions

To address these challenges, LPS focused on three core pillars: data, processes, and people, leveraging Lenovo’s expertise to drive transformation. Data modernization migrated and consolidated legacy systems to create a unified and reliable data foundation, enabling transparency and consistency across business functions. Workflow redesign and process optimization improved efficiency, compliance, and integration between regional teams. A structured change management strategy enabled smooth transitions, drove employee engagement, and ensured successful adoption of new systems and processes, all while prioritizing alignment and satisfaction throughout the organization.

Value created

The transformation delivered remarkable results. Billing cycles improved by 250x, reducing processing times from days to minutes. Automation reached 95% of business processes, enabling real-time, data-driven insights and rapid decision-making. Process reengineering saved 98% of procurement time and fully automated the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) and billing processes, significantly boosting efficiency. Change management efforts engaged 79% of the workforce, fostering a culture of productivity, alignment, and satisfaction across regional teams.

By integrating data, processes, and people, LPS enhanced its business capability by 77% and established a robust foundation for ongoing collaboration with Lenovo Group, underscoring its expertise in delivering innovation and sustainable success.
